In brief.

Be A Designer is a design studio based in Gallarate (Varese) which has been supporting emerging designers, brands and companies for 12 years. It develops bespoke textile accessories: ties, scarves, shawls and pocket squares, featuring the brand’s own designs, colours and labels. The process begins with the design or logo; the material and finish are then selected, the sample is approved, and production begins. Gallarate is just a few kilometres from Como, Italy’s leading silk-producing region. The price depends on the material, design and quantity, and is set out in the quotation.

The detail that sticks in the mind.

A tie or a scarf is often a brand’s first accessory and the easiest to give as a gift. For a company, it is the detail that makes its staff recognisable. In both cases, it is the design that counts.

  • Ties

Made from silk or wool, printed or woven, featuring the brand’s design or corporate colours.

  • Scarves and clutch bags

Exclusive silk prints, for the brand’s collection or for staff uniforms.

  • Scarves

Made from wool, cashmere or a blend of both, for men and women, bearing the brand’s label.

For your brand or your company.

The same accessory can serve two different purposes. During our first call, we’ll find out what you need it for and take it from there.

For your brand

Accessories that complete the collection: exclusive designs, labels and brand packaging, designed for retail.

For your business

Ties and scarves for hotel, airline and reception staff, featuring the company’s colours and logo.

In both cases, it all starts with the design: if you don’t have one, the design department will develop it with you, along with the colours and labels.
